It is quite possibly one of the most simple chicken breast recipes you can make and perfect with when you want to meal prep for the week. You can even have the chicken done in about 10 minutes of cooking time depending on the size of your chicken breasts.
Talk about an easy way for cooking chicken breast. It is even faster than cooking it in a convection oven since you don’t have to wait for the oven to get to the temperature when you are cooking in the air fryer basket.

Equipment Needed
For this recipe, you only need a few simple kitchen tools. We recommend using the following equipment:

How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Breasts
- Preheat your air fryer to 375℉.
- While the air fryer is preheating, add the chicken, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano to a mixing bowl. Toss it all together until the chicken is thoroughly coated in olive oil and seasoning.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer and cook at 375℉ for 7 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 7 minutes.
- Check the temperature of the chicken by sticking a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the largest breast. If the temperature reads 165℉, the chicken is done. If it’s not there yet, refer to the next step.
- If the chicken has not yet reached an internal temperature of 165℉, air fry it for another 2 minutes and check the temperature again. Repeat (if necessary) until the chicken is cooked through.

Storing and Other Tips
Store the leftover chicken breast in an airtight container after it has come down to room temperature for up to 4-5 days in the fridge and it is ready for when you need it for the next time you need it.
You will want to use your favorite spices or follow this air fryer chicken recipe and you will get a delicious foolproof recipe for flavorful chicken breasts. A few options to bump up the flavor include the following: onion powder, a few dashed of chili powder, cajun seasoning in place of garlic powder and oregano, Italian seasoning, or use a basic brine ratio with a few tablespoons of salt and water to marinate the chicken.
